1) General Rules
1.1 Team Size: 5 players
1.2 God Selection: During the week leading up to the game, the captains of both teams will meet to draft the Gods used by their team. The chosen Gods will play in the designated order but the players can be assigned different Gods every week.
1.2.1 This must be done before Thursday each week.
1.3 Time Limits: Standard GU time limit.
2) Order of Operations
2.1 Team Captains / Representatives will meet prior to the scheduled game. This must be done before Thursday each week.
2.2 A coin flip will occur, winner will decide whether to select the chosen character 1st or 2nd
2.3 The team who picks 1st, will also sect 1st in the 4th leg.
2.3.1 This means whoever chose their character 2nd in the 1st leg, will have 1st choice in the next 2 games.
2.4 There will be another coin flip for the 5th and final leg to decide to choose 1st or 2nd.
2.5 Before the game, the Captains / Representatives will then choose a player in their team to play as the chosen character.
2.6 Players can change deck for each game. Players are only limited by their God and the ban list.
2.6.1For example, the player is assigned nature. They can play Amazons first, Control second and Refresh Nature third.
3) League Rules
3.1 League Format: 1 game per team per opponent.
3.2 Match Structure: Best-of-3.
3.3 Standings: Points are awarded based on wins and losses, with tiebreakers determined by head-to-head records or other criteria.
3.3.1 2 points for a win, in the unlikely event of a draw, both teams will get 1 point.
3.3.2 If there is a tie at the end, total Win / Loss ratio will be factored.
3.2.2.1 If this is also a tie, a playoff will be played to determine the higher placed team
3.4 Promotion and Relegation: Not applicable for this league to date.
3.4.1 If there is adequate interest, this point will be addressed.
4) Additional Rules
4.1 Dropped Matches: Players who drop a match or fail to appear for a round will receive a loss.
4.2 If an illegal card / exploit has been found to be used, the committee shall decide the outcome (rematch/loss for offending party/no fault)
4.3 Appeals: Appeals against rulings must be made immediately to the committee.
4.4 Officials: Committee and team representative / captain will be responsible for enforcing the rules, resolving disputes, and overseeing the tournament.
4.5 Eligibility: Players must be of legal age to participate and agree to abide by all tournament rules.
4.6 Conduct: Players must always maintain good sportsmanship. Unacceptable behaviour, such as cheating, harassment, or disruptive conduct, will result in penalties or disqualification. Thrash talk is acceptable, but a limit will be in place.
4.6.1 Complaints will be taken up with the committee.
4.7 Deck Construction: Decks must adhere to the official Gods Unchained rules for deck construction. This includes the number of cards allowed, card legality, and any specific tournament restrictions.
4.7.1 No mythic cards allowed.
4.7.2 Committee will publish ban list before all tournaments start.
4.7.2.1 In the situation cards are added during the tournament, committee shall decide the legality of the cards individually.
4.8 Technical Difficulties: Technical difficulties will be managed on a case-by-case basis.
4.8.1 Any known on-going issues should be made public to the opposing team.
4.8.1.1 This will help in a quick outcome of the case.
4.9 Player trades are allowed but will require committee approval
4.10 Committee: We have 1 representative from each team on the committee.
4.10.1 If a tie occurs in a vote, an appropriate community member will be asked to vote.
